The Smoothie of Green Tea, Cinnamon and Strawberry for Prevention and Treatment of Scabies

The smoothie for prevention and treatment of scabies
Yield: 2 servings (about 8 ounces each)
1 1/2 cups blueberry
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams of green tea and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes. Set aside for cooling to room temperature)

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed.
3. Serve immediately

The finding of a natural source for treatment of scabies has been running into many obstacles, many ingredients showed initially with promising result in animal studies have not produced same potentials in large sample size and mutli centers human trials.

Scabies is an itchy, highly contagious skin infestation caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, accompanied with glomerulonephritis and rheumatic fever.

Green tea has been a precious drink in traditional Chinese culture and used exceptional in socialization for more than 4000 thousand years used in traditional Chinese medicine for treatment of variety of diseases, including cancers and heart diseases. According to the Taiyo Kagaku Co. Ltd, green tea polyphenols are effective in inhibited development and growth of bacterial spores in tested Bacillus bacteria(1).
Epidemiologically, green tea catechins exhibited antimicrobial effects against various pathogenic bacteria, including Escherichia coli(2), Propionibacterium Acnes, Propionibacterium Granulosum, Staphylococcus Aureus and Staphylococcus Epidermidis(3)

Cinnamon is a spice derived from the inner bark of tree, native to South East Asia, of over 300 species of the genus Cinnamomum, belongings to the family Lauraceae. The spice also processed anti microbial effect against many types of bacteria, including Listeria monocytogenes Scott A(4), L. monocytogenes, S. enterica(5), Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus(6).

Strawberries is a genius of Fragaria × ananassa belongs to the family Roseaceae, grown all over the world with suitable climate for commercial profits and for health benefits.Its aqueous extracts exhibited anti microbial effect against the expression of the virulence factors of Vibrio cholerae strains(7), Staphylococcus bacteria. Salmonella bacteria(8).

Taking altogether, The combination of Green Tea, Cinnamon and Strawberry may offer the potential effect in prevention of the onset and treatment of Scabies, through their anti bacterial effect.
 People who are at increased risk of Scabies are wise to drink at least one serving daily. People with  Scabies, should drink the juice as much as they can, depending to the toleration of digestive system.
